Weather Forecasts Specifically For The Aegean Rally Provided
By The National Observatory Of Athens

The Hellenic Offshore Racing Club, in collaboration with the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), will provide the Aegean Rally participants with accurate weather forecasts.

The forecasts will be available at the NOA web site (http://www.meteo.gr/SailingMapF.asp) and there will also be a direct link to the Aegean Rally web pages (http://www.aegeanrally.gr).

The NOA weather forecasts are the most detailed, and therefore the most accurate forecasts available in Greece, as they are based on complex mathematical models. Other than the forecasts for the rally, there will also be a general prognosis for the whole of Greece (42hrs), so that the participants can have an overview of the general weather systems and their movements. In addition to this, forecasts will be provided in the form of diagrams as well as tables.

The Hellenic Offshore Racing Club organizes the Aegean Rally on an annual basis. This event is also known as the International Aegean Sailing/Racing Week. The race is a regatta, which consists of a series of 3 or 4 individual offshore races. The race usually starts and finishes at Faliro Bay and includes the beautiful islands of the Aegean.
